| the dungeon and sublevels |
| the kitchens
The kitchens are directly bellow the great hall. To get here you take the door to the right of the stair case as if going to the hufflepuff common room, then find the portrait of a fruit bowl. Tickle the pear, it will giggle then a door knob will appear. Wala! Now your in a room just as big as the one above it. There are over 100 house elves manning the room, which contains four preperation tables for each house right bellow the actual ones.

| the hufflepuff common room
Although it is underground and considered in the dungeons it is as dissimilar as possible from the potions class room. It is accesed through a still life painting and is decorated in a lot of yellow with big comfy chairs and sofas. The dorms are located at the ends of tunnels with perfectly circular doors.

| the potions classroom
Here lies the potions class room. As expected for an underground chamber the walls and floors are made of stone. It is big enough to fit twenty students. The walls are decorated with cauldrons and shelves of pickeld animals or their parts. In the winter it is cold enough to see your breath, so make sure to check the weather to see what you could be wearing to class!

| the slytherin common room
The slytherin common room is a long, low-cellinged, dungeon like room. The lighting is light green because of the house colored lanterns and the fact that the room is underwater. It is decorated by high backed chairs and a beautiful carved fireplace mantel.

| main floor |
| the enterance hall
Two extremely tall, grand oak doors open to reveal the entrance hall. Directly infront of you is a grand marble staircase leading to the first floor. On each side of which is a doorway. One leading to the dungeons and another to the kitchens and hufflepuff level. To your right is a smaller set of doors that lead into the grand hall. Also in a corner to the right is four hour glasses filled with gem stones to match the house colors, each of which represents one house point.

If you pass through a tall pair of doors you will find yourself in a large room filled with four long tables for each house and one head table that the staff occupies. Large fire places on both the right and left wall with detailed mantels. Floating candles light the room and the cealing still has the same enchantment upon it to show the weather outside.

A decently sized room located through a door flanked by gargoyles on the left side of the great hall. The staff room is decorated by mismatched wooden chairs and a large wardrobe.

| the muggle studies classroom
A very wide class room with a few large glass windows. There are various muggle electronics located through out. A door off of the left hand side of the room leads to the muggle studies professors office.

| the defense against the dark arts classroom
An open room with rows of tables that fit two people each. Railings separate the front of the class and the sitting area. A staircase on the front wall leads to the professors office. Large windows look out to the grounds.

| the history of magic classroom
A brightly lit room with plenty of bookshelves along the walls. Tables for the students take up the majority of the room, but a desk and chalk board are the main focus of the front portion of the class.

| the transfiguration classroom
A warmly lit chamber with windows covering the front wall, behind the raised portion of the room which a desk and board are found. The rest of the room is where desks for students to sit are designated.

| girls bathroom (out of order)
This bathroom to the left of the boys has a circular structure in the center with sinks and mirrors and then, like the boys, has a room off to the left with filled with stalls. This particular bathroom, however, is out of order as it is known to be haunted by moaning myrtle.

A typical bathroom with sinks lining the first room you enter and a second room to the left with stalls on both sides.

| third floor |
| the charms classroom
A room with a large window looking out upon you the main drive. Many piles of books cover the front because of the lack of bookshelves. Like all class rooms the back of the room is mainly dedicated to rows of tables which fit two people each.

| the trophy room
A long room filled with crystal cases which contain all of the schools awards, trophies, statues, cups, plates, shields, and medals. Here you will also find a list of all the head boys and girls.

| the hospital wing
A room located through two large, carved doors. It is filled with a lot of beds covered in white sheets. Tall windows line both sides and intricate archatecture cover the ceiling.

| the library
A series of tall rooms that contain rows and rows of bookselves. Tables seated near large windows overlooking the grounds make for a good place to study. Books are often seen flying from the front desk back to their correct places.

| secret exit from hogwarts
Hidden behind a tall, full body, silver mirror in the fourth floor corridors is a secret passage that exits Hogwarts. After being caved in for years before the battle, some one with a good sense of hummor decided to fix the secret passage during the reconstruction of hogwarts.

| the girls bathroom
The most commonly used public restroom for girls. There is almost always at least two girls within its confines.

Long coridors decorated with paintings and doors to empty classrooms alike.

| the prefects bathroom
Made up of three rooms, the prefects bathroom is a room fit for those of power. One room contains a huge bath tub, another homes lines of stalls and the last contains even larger stalls with showers within.

| ancient runes classroom
A basic room with two large windows over looking the lake at the front. Longer then normal tables that fit three people each are set up in rows and framed art of ancient symbols are spread around the room.

| secret passage
Found between the boys bathroom and the marble staircase leading to the seventh floor is a secret passage with low cealings that leads down the the fourth floor. Unfortunatly it is only a one way deal.

The infamous boys bathroom that Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy once battled in. Now just a normal place to relieve yourself, it was once a place that occupied Dracos time.

| the room of requirement
Walk past it three times and while in desperate need of something and wala! you have it! Many people come here when they are in need of entertainment, a place to host something, or a romantic night alone.

| the gryffindor common room
A large room decorated with gold and red. The decor mostly consists of extremely comfortable chairs and couches. The whole common room is placed in a tower, noticeable from the exterior of the castle.

| the astronomy tower
Here is the famous tower where dumbledore was killed. All astronomy classes will take place here. Large instruments for observing the heavens can be found at the very top, along with the famous balcony.

| the west tower
Located on the west side of the school, as expected. After you climb the stair case you will emerge into the owlery. Here your owl may relax with other peoples and school owned ones. The walls are covered in little dug out spaces for owls to rest in. Two long polls also stretch wall to wall in the round room. Make sure to watch your step!

After climbing a few stairs near the west tower you will find yourself thinking over a riddle. If you get it correct you will be allowed into the main room of the ravenclaw tower. It is decorated in house colors, large comfortable chairs, and tables good for doing homework.

A tall winding stair case leads to a room, from which you take a ladder to reach the large divination classroom. Large platforms, resembling stairs, hold the round tables decorated to the likings of the divination professor.

| the courtyard
A grassy area with trees and benches surrounded by walls and a covered path with doors that lead to various places in the castle. In the exact middle is a large fountain, where four narrow paths meet. Many students like to relax here and do homework.

Four long green houses filled with long tables and plants of all shapes and sizes. The herbology classes take place in any one on a given day.

| the lake
A popular place for many students throughout the year. Some places offer long sandy spots for games, tanning or whatever you feel like. Other places are just beautiful to relax under a tree near by and watch everything going on.

Wide grassy areas streatched over an array of flat and hilly land. This is the perfect place for a nice walk or a game of tag with the friends.

The infamous quidditch pitch. There is guarantied to be at least one lone flyer at all times. Kids are always sneaking out at night to gets some extra practice when there wasn't a team meting or just flying for the love of it.

Although its hundreds of years old, the whomping willow still stands strong. Beautiful by nature, but violent in nature. Just make sure not to get to close.

| the forbidden forest
The forbidden forest is a extremely dangerous place. Some have managed to make it a talent of theirs to succesfully avoid any problems at all times, but none the less it is off limits to all students. (But that never seems to stop anyone.)

| the ministry of magic
A large, multi floored structure located under london. Each floor is dedicated to a seperate department of the ministry. A newly redone main floor with a mixture of modern and ancient has made this a hot place to be, even if you have no reason to be.

A famous hot spot for wizards, the leaky cauldron is invisible to all muggles. It is well known for its entrance to diagon alley, and its characteristic workers.

| diagon alley
Through a wall in the leaky cauldron you can amerce yourself in the wonders that are known to be a part of diagon alley. Cobblestone roads and streets lined with apartments and stores makes for a good time in anyone's book.

| st. mungo's hospital
The only hospital in britain, St. Mungos treats wizards of all kinds, and in some extreme cases, muggles. Disguised as a old run down department store, to enter you must talk to the dummy in outdated clothes on display in the front window.
